The Batmobile

You have to give credit to the Batmobile of the 60's I hear. They claim that it will always be the best, because it was the first. My only repsonse to that is, The first pyramids are no longer around, does that make them the best ? Truthfully the Futura Batmobile I find remarkably stupid. Honestly, which would strike fear into the minds of the pursued ? The TV show of the 60 absoultely worthless except for entertaining middle age men trying to remember their childhood. I would aviod writing this page, I feel I'd end up repeating the words of a great page that fell into the depths of cyberspace, and I can't find again. It gave a great description of the Batmobile, an opinions I agree with. If the Author of that page ever reads this, you'll know who you are, by all means, pleaes come in contact with me, I'd love to use your page rather than this, all credit due of course.

The Cars

 

The Best Batmobile in my not-so-humble opinion is what is commonly refered to as the Keaton car. It captures the essense of what the Batmobile should be. It should be a car that is in command of every obstical, ready for anything. The Batmobile is a car that is prepared for everything. A kick ass loaded car, weapons systems, mean demeanor, jet engine. The scene on the Batmobile running wild, in Batman Returns is a perfect example. A car the can physically force its way through a traffic jam with ease. The special feature changing it to more of a rocket shape is a prime call to the flexibility of the machine.

The Before and After

 

We now come to the Batman Forever Batmobile. Completely different, a complete joke. It looks like it could be knocked over by a strong breeze and I still havn't heard a good explaination on the need for the ugly fin on top, maybe it's a sail. Also, the damn car glows! Come on, how is the Dark Knight supposed to be dark in a day-glow car ? I do give it credit , it does have the ability to drive up walls, wonder if it has the ability to drive back down.
